We welcome you to a spectacular 24-bedroom traditional Canarian Hotel in the heart of the beautiful town of Arona in the South of Tenerife.
Just 15 minutes away from the highest ranked Coworking in Tenerife “Zen Den Coworking” and the tourist resort of Playa Las Americas and Los Cristianos.
Staying at Zen Den Coliving will grant you free access to the beachside Coworking and the largest Digital Nomad Community on the island.
This project aims to bridge the gap between Remote Workers and Local people and will be focused on integration with the community and culture of Tenerife.

- How do I do groceries?
- Included in the cost we have a yummy daily breakfast. Other than this we do not have a cafe or restaurant onsite, there is one of the best bakeries on the island “Aroma” 3 minute’s walk away which will not help your waistline and there is a small bar and restaurant serving Tapas next door to the Coliving. Being in the South you will also have access to food and grocery deliveries through Uber Eats and Glovo. There are also three small supermarkets in the town, one which has a fresh veggie, bread and meat counter. The communal kitchen is well equipped and ready for everyone to use and we have a large BBQ outside for feasts, we will have a family dinner organised which will have a small surcharge and excursions to local restaurants.
- What are the coworking opening hours?
- The Coworking Facilities will be open 24 hours per day for Colivers staying at the Coliving. For any outside members, it will close at 10 pm. As a member of Zen Den Coliving, you can also have free access to our dedicated Coworking Space Zen Den Coworking by the beach (subject to availability of desks).
- What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
- As much as we love a doggo, the hotel is a historic building with lots of antiques and isn’t suited to having pets on site. The Zen Den Coworking by the beach does allow dogs on request.
- How do I get there?
- Please don’t always rely on Google Maps when it comes to public transport. Sometimes the routes or times are not correct. Please check on the local bus company website or app Titsa Tenerife has two airports, Tenerife Sur TFS and the Tenerife Norte TFN. Zen Den Coliving is by far the closest to Tenerife Sur, the south airport. From the South Airport, you take the express bus 40 (express), 711 (night bus) or the 343 bus(stopping service) to Los Cristianos and change to the 480 towards Arona, then the Coliving is a three-minute walk. This if well-timed with schedules should be about an hour’s journey. At the time of writing the airport bus costs €3.45 and the Arona bus costs €1.45 so a total of €4.90 Another option is to take the airport express bus to Los Cristianos and then take a taxi to the coliving, the taxi will cost between €15 and €20. You can also just take a taxi direct to the Coliving from Tenerife South Airport, ensure the meter is on and this should cost between €30 and €35 at time of writing. Please always double-check the Titsa website for the latest updates on the routes – these may change due to festivities, seasons etc.. Car rental. There are many car rental agencies at both the North and South airports and also closer to Zen Den Coliving in Los Cristianos and Play Las Americas. Luckily the cheapest deals can be found at the South Airport. They can be quite cheap, however, the addition of optional insurance can make the cost much higher. Tip: Have travel insurance that covers car rentals so that you don’t have to pay the additional costs at the rental agency. We also have a small selection of Cars with trusted partners we can rent you directly from the Coliving. Parking in the centre of Arona is free although finding a spot may be a few streets walking distance to Zen Den Coliving. The town is quite affluent and crime is very low so you will have no trouble leaving the car close by.
- What is included?
- Included in the costs is your beautiful room which almost all of them have an ensuite bathroom and desk/chair and plenty of space. Breakfast is included in the cost, all use of public areas including three lounges, roof terrace, huge garden and bbq area, outdoor seating and pool with outdoor shower. Of course you will also have 24 hour access to the on-site Zen Den Coworking Space. As a member of Zen Den Coliving we also include the really unique access to our Coworking by the sea, so some days you can change up your scenery and go to the beach of your lunchbreak!
- Why did you decide to open?
- Zen Den Coliving is an expansion of our Zen Den Coworking and Nomads Den Community in South Tenerife, for the past four years we have been formalising the community here in Tenerife, the Zen Den is the highest rated Coworking on the entire island and we hosted over 200 events for Remote Workers last year alone. Recently we have been working with local government to help growth of the Remote Working Community in a sustainable manner and help avoid issues with rising accommodation costs and displacement of local people. Due to these connections and work a local company contacted us with a beautiful 123 year old Canarian Hotel that we can use for our Coliving project, it has 25 bedrooms, three lounges, a library we have converted into a Zen Den Coworking Space, roof terrace and huge Garden with Pool. We will use the Coliving as the new base for the Community where Remote Workers can access dedicated Accommodation with a full time community manager and events included in the cost. We are also linking up with the local government again to get members involved with the local community and events and have students coming down from the local university to get involved with professional exchanges. The Coliving will be unique on the island as we have the separate Coworking Space by the beach, just 15 minutes from the Coliving. Members will have access to this space which means they will get a true Beach to Mountain experience.
- How do you manage the community?
- As the Coliving is an expansion of the existing Zen Den Coworking and Nomads Den Community Zen Den Coliving will have its internal community but also access to the larger community in the South of Tenerife. Internally we have a full time community manager who will be on site, weekly family meetings to decide on the itinerary and events and also a WhatsApp community to day to day messages. The WhatsApp Community is also linked to the Zen Den Working Community group down at the beach, which means Colivers can connect with Coworkers and vice-versa. Additionally we have the Nomads Den Community which already has 700 members across Whatsapp, Telegram and Facebook. This will give you access to organised and informal events outside of just the Coliving. Every Friday evening at the Coliving we have a Nomads After Work Pool Party open to the whole community for you to meet people and network right on your doorstep.
