Hello! We’re Megu and Toshi, and we’re building a new coliving space in Tazawako, Akita — a beautiful mountain and lake region in northern Japan known for its hot springs, deep snow, forests, and mountain culture.
Ahead of our pre-opening for the winter ski & snowboard season this December, we’re inviting volunteers and remote workers to join us as we renovate and shape the space together.
We’ve just had a few last-minute cancellations for August, so we now have space for 2–3 more people! 🌿
If you’re already in Japan and looking for somewhere to spend the next few weeks, come join us!
This is an opportunity to:
Experience rural life and local community in Japan
Help us create our new coliving space
Enjoy nature, onsen, hiking, and mountain life
Live, cook, and share everyday life with people from different countries
Ways to participate:
DIY and creative renovation
Gardening and outdoor work
Photography, video, storytelling, and social media
Sharing your own skills and ideas
Participation is informal and flexible, and we welcome people from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences.
We can have a quick video call beforehand to get to know each other and talk through the details. 😊
