About CoCoCo

CoCoCo is a place where people come together to slow down, connect, and share meaningful experiences. Nestled in the German countryside, our summer getaway offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that feels more like staying with friends than visiting a retreat. With space for only a small number of guests, it naturally fosters a sense of community where conversations flow easily, meals are shared, and everyone feels included. Whether spending time outdoors, working on personal projects, organising workshops, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, guests are invited to connect with one another, exchange ideas, and be part of a supportive and inspiring environment or find spaces in solitude to get work done in a quite rural rhythm.

About the owners

The hosts of this coliving
CoCoCo was created out of a shared vision by Millie, Dream and Ani, who found themselves tired of talking about living on an island and instead decided to escape the smokey north of Thailand to give it a try. Their shared vision materialised into their first own homestay on Phayam island in Thailand, bringing together their experiences from former travels around the world and expertise in the culinary world, striving to recreate all which they have loved and experienced in other guesthouses and cafes over the years. They now extend their vision to additional sites around the globe to create spaces of community, creation, learning and working. This summer CoCoCo is going German countryside. Come and join the fun!

Frequently asked questions about CoCoCo

Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Just ask for it

How do I do groceries?
We will organise a shopping trip together with the car to the next bigger town Havelberg (approximately 10 min by car) once a week. There is several supermarkets and drugstores as well as a small fruit and veggie market in the town centre on Fridays.
What are the coworking opening hours?
Our coworking space is open daily from 8 am until 4 pm. During those hours you may wish to work in the salon on the big table or find your own corner on-site (kitchen, garden, terrace, lounge) to get work done. The space is a designated quiet zone during those hours, and equipped with a big working table, comfortable chairs in a cool and spacious indoor salon. Please get in touch with us ahead of time should you wish to reserve a big screen to work with so we can arrange connecting HDMI cables etc.
What is the policy on pets? Are there any restrictions, fees or rules?
Well-behaved animals welcome — please discuss in advance. Allergy check with other residents required. The large garden gives animals plenty of space to spend the day. There is a lot of nature around for extensive dog walks.
How do I get there?
The train ride from Berlin is ~1h 20min. Please get in touch to arrange a station pick-up (approximately 15 min by car). You may also wish to bring your own car or bicycle to explore the area. The car ride from Berlin takes around 2 hours. Parking in garden, garage & in front of the house is available. There is one unicycle and a (very old) bicycle on-site (that probably needs some repairing). A bicycle rental shop can be found in the next bigger town. Please let us know ahead of time should you wish to rent a bicycle so we can arrange for it to be ready by the time you arrive. There is extensive biking routes all around the area in the middle of nature.
What is included?
The coliving houses up to 5 parties simultaneously. There are several living rooms for working, lounging and meeting. A designated working space is provided during the day time in the salon (WIFI is all around the house). In addition, guests may choose to work outdoors on one of the several garden seatings, the kitchen or the lounge room. There are three big garages (one of them with different workshop tools) that offer space for bigger scale projects. You may also use the garden space for outdoor projects of a bigger scale. There is a large shared kitchen & fridge open to be used (self-service & own compartment for food storage). We will go shopping together once a week. Fridays are for weekly dinners or barbecues (here we share costs of the meal). A sauna day is also included once a week, as well as the on-site yoga studio whenever needed. All rooms are equipped with bed linens and a towel for your stay. There is also a laundry machine on-site should you wish to wash your clothes.
Why did you decide to open?
After years of traveling and living in different countries, we at CoCoCo were inspired by the warmth, hospitality, and sense of belonging we encountered along the way. We wanted to create spaces where fellow travellers and wanderers could experience that same feeling of connection. Our journey began on the lesser-known Thai island of Koh Phayam, where we established a community café and coworking space for remote travellers. Over time, it grew into a vibrant hub where like-minded people come together to work, connect, exchange ideas, and share workshops while enjoying island life. Building on this experience, we decided to expand our vision by creating a small summer retreat in the German countryside, placing an even greater focus on the coliving aspect of our project.
How do you manage the community?
For the summer getaway (as well as for our coworking cafe on the thai island), we live on-site and run the experience throughout your whole stay on-site. We get together once a week to drive to the 10 min nearby town of Havelberg to go shopping together and host a weekly community dinner on Friday nights. Upon request, there is also the option to go explore the surrounding area together during the weekends. There is lakes around to go swimming, as well as kayaking routes and nature hikes. In addition, if the group wishes, we can also request a yoga teacher to come by once a week for a session in the on-site yoga shala. On sunday nights we heat up the sauna for those who would like to sweat the remaining grind from the past week out of their bodies :)
